Prairie Lakes Welcomes Kristopher Johnson, MD, General Surgeon
WATERTOWN, S.D. – August 30, 2024 – Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Kristopher Johnson, General Surgeon, to our medical team. Dr. Johnson joins Dr. Greg Gerrish and Dr. Jacob Shaeffer in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients at the General Surgery Clinic. He performs surgical procedures including direct access colonoscopies, breast, thyroid, hernia, gallbladder, acid reflux and more.
Dr. Johnson’s hometown is Holmen, WI. He attended undergraduate school at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. Dr. Johnson later earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota (USD) Sanford School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at USD Sanford School of Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD. Dr. Johnson recently moved to Watertown from Sioux Falls with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys being active outdoors hunting and fishing.
